Cycloserine Induced Neurotoxicity: A Rare Case Report

Cycloserine is one of the many drugs used in treatment Multidrug Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB). Neuropsychiatric complaints are common after cycloserine administration. Reports neuroimaging neurotoxicity rare. Authors hereby reports a case 17-year-old female, who presented with hallucination and delirium since 2 weeks. She was known pulmonary MDR-TB on Anti-Koch’s Treatment category IV (AKT) for same last 12 months. On clinical examination, patient conscious co-operative but disoriented. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) revealed, symmetric hyperintensities T2 weighted images bilateral dentate nuclei restriction diffusion, diffusion images. In addition, two well- defined hypointense ring enhancing lesions were seen right parietal occipital regions. Patient’s symptoms improved stoppage cycloserine. follow-up MRI, 4 weeks withdrawing durg, there complete reversal MRI findings.
